Section Head - Mechanical

About the role

The Section Head – Mechanical will lead the preventive and corrective maintenance activities for mechanical equipment at ACWA Operations’ power generation and water desalination plants. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure plant reliability, safety, and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance, monthly/annual outages, and overhauls of mechanical plant equipment.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables while respecting budget constraints.
• Execute work orders through the CMMS (SAP) and coordinate with maintenance engineers for job completion.
• Lead the maintenance team in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues.
• Ensure environmental, hazard, and risk assessments are performed and updated.
• Implement, monitor, and report Integrated Management System (IMS) objectives and performance.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of plant processes and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to lead a maintenance team and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Experience with outage planning and equipment overhauls.

Required skills

• SAP (CMMS) for work‑order management.
• CMMS operation and maintenance tracking.
