Section Manager – PMO Governance & Portfolio Management

About the role

The Section Manager – PMO Governance & Portfolio Management is responsible for overseeing the project portfolio and PMO activities within the Support Services Division, ensuring effective governance, alignment with business objectives, and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the assigned portfolio of projects, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with approved objectives and business plans.
• Establish and maintain PMO governance, methodologies, standards, and templates, and monitor compliance.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks and issues; conduct reviews and provide guidance to project managers.
• Consolidate project information into portfolio reports, dashboards and performance analyses for senior management.
• Monitor resource allocation, demand and capacity; support vendor selection and performance monitoring.
• Manage the PMO team, set objectives, develop capabilities through coaching, and oversee the PMO budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in project management, portfolio governance or related functions.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop and manage high‑performing teams and to make proactive decisions.
• Strong business‑planning, performance‑monitoring and budget‑control skills.
