Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join Assystem’s finance team in Al Khobar, supporting the company’s mission to accelerate the energy transition. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Saudi tax regulations, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, recording all journal entries, receipts and disbursements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, process vendor invoices and monitor aging receivables.
• Perform monthly bank, inter‑company and subsidiary ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and file quarterly/monthly VAT returns in accordance with ZATCA regulations and ensure e‑invoicing compliance.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, including accruals, pre‑payments and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare preliminary balance sheets, profit & loss statements and cash‑flow reports for management.
• Provide documentation and analytical support for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in professional services, engineering consulting or corporate environments in Saudi Arabia.
• Registration with the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) preferred; progress toward CPA, CMA or ACCA is a plus.
