Senior Architect / Architect of Record (AOR) – Khobar

About the role

MSCEB is looking for a Senior Architect / Architect of Record (AOR) to lead architectural design and compliance for projects in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role ensures all deliverables meet Saudi regulatory standards and supports partnerships with local firms.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate architectural design deliverables in line with project schedules and technical standards.
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi regulatory authorities and municipal codes.
• Review, approve, and stamp design and construction documents as the Architect of Record where required.
• Liaise with local architectural firms to develop MOU partnerships that expand operational capacity.
• Participate in joint proposal preparation for public‑sector tenders, leveraging local codes and best practices.
• Provide technical advice during business development and pre‑qualification phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of architectural design and project delivery experience, including 3‑5 years in Saudi Arabia.
• Registered / Licensed Architect in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code, municipal regulations and permitting procedures.
• Experience stamping and approving design documents as an AOR.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
