Senior Construction Specialist – Airport Projects

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Construction Specialist to join the multidisciplinary team delivering the King Salman International Airport in Riyadh. The role focuses on managing contractor works on‑site, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and specification compliance for a state‑of‑the‑art airport development that will serve up to 120 million travellers by 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Provide construction recommendations to the project team and Construction Manager.
• Coordinate the development of approved constructability ideas and detailed plans.
• Initiate and manage the Constructability Program process and schedule, identifying construction requirements to support estimating and execution.
• Monitor contractor performance against ES&H, quality, schedule and specification requirements, ensuring alignment with the Contractor ITP.
• Prepare and deliver regular progress reports, highlighting risks and mitigation actions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in large‑scale construction projects, preferably airport or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and liaise effectively with contractors.
• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality assurance, and schedule control.
