Senior Java Backend Developer – Spring Boot & Quarkus

About the role

Code Ninja is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to design, build and maintain scalable microservices and APIs for a client in the Open Banking domain. The role involves working with Spring Boot or Quarkus and managing APIs through IBM API Connect.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.
• Build, publish and manage APIs with IBM API Connect.
• Ensure high performance, security and scalability of backend systems.
• Containerize applications with Docker and deploy on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Implement authentication/authorization using OAuth2/JWT.
• Write unit, integration and contract tests.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with API security and performance optimization.
