Senior PL/SQL Developer - ODS

About the role

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL Developer to join a leading Saudi bank's technology team, designing and maintaining high‑performance data solutions for the Operational Data Store (ODS) environment. This hands‑on, delivery‑focused role requires strong Oracle PL/SQL depth and prior exposure to banking or financial‑services data environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Build and maintain ETL/data‑load routines feeding the ODS from core banking and source systems.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimisation, and execution‑plan analysis.
• Design data models and support data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across ODS and downstream reporting systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues within agreed SLAs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Prior banking/financial‑services experience (mandatory).
• Oracle DB performance tuning expertise.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting for job scheduling and automation.

Required skills

• Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c) performance tuning and indexing.
• Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• ETL concepts and tools (e.g., ODI, Informatica) – nice‑to‑have.
