Senior Legal Specialist – Saudi Arabia

About the role

BYD is seeking a pragmatic and detail‑oriented Senior Legal Specialist to support its expanding operations in Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with the regional legal team, handling distributor relations, labor compliance, and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage legal aspects of distributor and commercial agreements to protect company interests.
• Support day‑to‑day legal activities for BYD’s Saudi subsidiaries.
• Draft and review employment contracts, ensuring compliance with KSA Labor Law via Qiwa and Mudad platforms.
• Coordinate with external law firms on regulatory issues, focusing on the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and other compliance frameworks.
• Monitor local legislative updates and provide clear interpretations of new policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized Saudi university.
• Minimum 2 years of corporate in‑house or law‑firm experience.
• Professional proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Saudi national or willing to relocate and be stationed in Saudi Arabia.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of Saudi government portals (Qiwa, Mudad).
• Understanding of KSA corporate and labor regulations.
• Familiarity with PDPL and data‑privacy compliance.
