Senior Manager – Strategy and Finance

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Manager to join the core team of our Construction Management vertical at QDC HQ. Reporting to the Director of Project, Strategy & Finance, you will help shape governance, financial planning and organisational set‑up for a fast‑growing construction portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director in establishing and maintaining the project governance framework, including stage‑gate processes, approval pathways and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate governance assurance and internal audit activities, ensuring compliance with QDC and QIC standards.
• Lead the preparation, consolidation and control of budgets, forecasts and financial plans in partnership with Finance, Commercial and Project teams.
• Monitor financial performance, cash flow and variances, delivering clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Assist in developing the Construction Management strategy, operating model, resourcing plans and financial implications.
• Prepare Board papers, N‑1 submissions, investment committee documents and executive briefings.
• Act as a central coordination point for strategic initiatives, business cases and scenario analyses.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment approvals and onboarding for new roles within the vertical.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration or related field (minimum).
• Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, Strategy) preferred.
• Extensive experience in finance, budgeting and strategic planning within a construction or infrastructure environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for senior executives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
