Senior Procurement Engineer (Fit-Out Projects)

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join its team in Riyadh for high-end fit-out and construction projects. The role covers project controls functions including procurement package management, cost control, scheduling and technical coordination of material and shop drawing submittals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project control systems covering scheduling, cost monitoring and reporting, and prepare progress reports, dashboards and management updates.
• Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule and identify and act on potential delays.
• Manage procurement packages for fit-out work, including finishes, furniture, joinery, MEP coordination items and specialist materials, coordinating with procurement teams on sourcing and delivery.
• Track procurement schedules and supplier commitments so that procurement stays aligned with project timelines and cost targets.
• Review and manage material submittals, shop drawings and technical documentation, coordinating with consultants and clients for approvals and ensuring compliance with specifications, standards and contracts.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams and subcontractors, and support teams in resolving procurement and technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture.
• 10-12 years of experience in construction projects with a strong focus on fit-out projects.
• Proven experience in procurement management and technical submittals.
• Strong understanding of fit-out materials, finishes, joinery and MEP coordination.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 / MS Project for scheduling.
• Knowledge of procurement tracking and project reporting tools.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of construction documentation and contract requirements.
