Senior Project Manager – Payment Technology

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of payment technology initiatives across digital payments, card processing, payment gateways, acquiring, issuing, and financial services platforms. The role involves managing complex, cross‑functional projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering solutions that meet business objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of payment system projects from initiation through deployment and post‑implementation support.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk‑management strategies.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring on‑time, on‑scope, and on‑budget delivery.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, vendors, and external partners; provide regular status updates to senior management and steering committees.
• Coordinate integration with banks, payment processors, schemes, and fintech partners for gateways, card issuing/acquiring, POS, e‑commerce, digital wallets, real‑time payments, open banking, and cross‑border solutions.
• Ensure adherence to PCI DSS, ISO 8583, EMV, AML/KYC, and local/international payment regulations; identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Lead cross‑functional teams (business analysts, developers, QA, architects, vendors) and mentor junior project managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 8–12+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years managing payment systems or fintech projects.
• Strong understanding of payment processing ecosystems and experience working with banks, PSPs, or fintech organizations.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale technology implementations.
