Senior Registrar Emergency Room Physician

About the role

The Senior Registrar Emergency Room Physician provides high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care in the Emergency Department of Riyadh Care Hospital, operating under the supervision of the Consultant/Head of ER. The role ensures compliance with professional ethics, CBAHI/JCI standards, and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care within clinical privileges, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Supervise and mentor assigned ER physicians and junior staff.
• Maintain and improve the triage system in collaboration with ER nurses.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, disaster contingency planning, and emergency response.
• Ensure accurate, timely medical record documentation and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Lead performance‑improvement initiatives and contribute to quality‑improvement committees.
• Engage in continuous medical education, national/international conferences, and in‑service training for staff.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Experience at a senior registrar level in an emergency department.
• Familiarity with CBAHI/JCI standards and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations.
• Ability to supervise physicians, junior doctors, nurses, and technicians.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and teaching.
