Senior Road & Civil Engineer

About the role

The Senior Road & Civil Engineer will lead technical and site‑supervision activities for road and civil infrastructure works linked to utility projects. You will collaborate with contractors, clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, safety and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction of roads, pavements, utility corridors, drainage networks and related civil works.
• Monitor contractor performance against approved drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Review method statements, shop drawings, material submittals and construction schedules.
• Conduct site inspections, oversee testing, commissioning and hand‑over of civil and road works.
• Identify technical issues on‑site and provide engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with utility, structural, geotechnical, survey and project‑management teams.
• Verify progress quantities and review contractor payment applications.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Prepare technical, inspection, non‑conformance and site instruction reports.
• Participate in project meetings and support risk‑management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in road and civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience supervising utility infrastructure construction, including roads and drainage systems.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and GCC large‑scale project practices.
• Professional registration or chartership preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills; English fluency required, Arabic advantageous.
