Senior Specialist – P&T Applications Support

About the role

The Senior Specialist – P&T Applications Support will provide day‑to‑day application support for the business and operational systems used by DPW Jeddah. You will act as the primary point of contact for users, ensuring stable application availability and timely incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑level support for business applications, portals, integrations and related operational systems.
• Log, analyse, troubleshoot and resolve user issues according to agreed priorities and service levels.
• Reproduce reported problems, assess business impact and prioritize incidents based on SLA and criticality.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, DBAs and vendors for root‑cause analysis and resolution.
• Manage application access, including user creation, role changes and periodic reviews.
• Train users on proper application usage and support processes.
• Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to reduce incidents and manual workarounds.
• Document incidents, resolutions and lessons learned in the knowledge base while maintaining data confidentiality and security compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Information Systems or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in application, IT or systems support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with users, stakeholders, vendors and technical teams.
• Willingness to work extra hours or shifts during operational emergencies.
