Senior Storage Administrator

About the role

Avensys is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise SAN/NAS storage solutions for its diverse client base across banking, insurance, healthcare, retail and supply‑chain sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SAN/NAS platforms, including LUN provisioning, RAID configuration, Fibre Channel and iSCSI connectivity.
• Monitor storage performance, capacity and availability, and execute tuning and optimisation activities.
• Implement backup, replication, snapshot and disaster‑recovery strategies, ensuring RPO/RTO targets are met.
• Integrate storage with virtualisation environments such as VMware, Hyper‑V and Nutanix.
• Provide 2nd/3rd‑level support for P1/P2 incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Plan and execute capacity upgrades, hardware refreshes and infrastructure changes across multi‑site data centres.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise storage and data‑center infrastructure.
• Proven track record managing high‑availability storage environments in production settings.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience handling critical incidents.
• Experience supporting multi‑site environments and coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• SAN and NAS administration (LUN, RAID, Fibre Channel, iSCSI)
• Virtualisation platforms: VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix
• Backup and recovery tools: Veeam, Commvault, ExaGrid, Synology NAS
• Azure Storage and Azure Backup (advantageous)
• Storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, performance monitoring
• Disaster‑recovery concepts, RPO/RTO, data protection
