Senior Structural Engineer – TPE IV (Al‑Khubar, Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Wood is seeking a TPE IV/Senior Structural Engineer to join its Al‑Khubar office, supporting oil & gas, refinery, mining and infrastructure projects. The role involves leading structural and infrastructure design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering high‑quality engineering deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review building structures, equipment foundations, pipe and cable‑tray supports.
• Produce, revise and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards and checklists.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers, coordinating their work and managing billability.
• Plan work to meet allocated man‑hours, avoid slippage and ensure timely delivery.
• Interface with the Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams, incorporating inputs from all disciplines.
• Conduct site visits, verify conditions, perform as‑built activities and update drawings.
• Manage technical bid evaluation, vendor document review and subcontract scope management.
• Prepare technical reports and presentation materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in oil & gas, hydrocarbon refinery, mining or infrastructure sectors.
• Extensive background in engineering design projects and senior‑level responsibility.
• Ability to lead teams, delegate tasks and ensure quality of deliverables.

Required skills

• Structural engineering and building design.
• Equipment foundation, pipe support and cable‑tray support design.
• Knowledge of Aramco, Sabic, Royal Commission, SBC and HCIS standards.
• Technical bid evaluation and vendor document review.
• Subcontract scope management.
• Site inspection and as‑built documentation.
• Technical report writing and presentation preparation.
