Senior Trader - Saudi Equities Facilitation Desk

About the role

A technology-first capital markets firm is looking for an experienced Senior Trader to run its Saudi equities Facilitation book in Riyadh. The role sits at the intersection of high-frequency trading and principal risk, managing a SAR 100 million book that provides liquidity and manages inventory for flows coming from one of the largest brokerage franchises in Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with quantitative researchers and engineers to optimise execution and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a SAR 100 million Facilitation book on Saudi equities, providing immediate liquidity for significant broker flows.
• Execute and manage principal risk positions, optimising inventory levels and hedging strategies to minimise market exposure.
• Interact with internal HFT market-making systems to offload risk to them when appropriate.
• Work with one of the region's largest brokers to ensure seamless flow integration and high execution quality.
• Use and give feedback on internal risk management and monitoring tools so limits are strictly followed.
• Share market behaviour insights with the research team to refine automated pricing and hedging algorithms.
• Help deploy new strategies and models, and help design and build internal tools, dashboards and automation.
• Support post-trade activities to support clearing and accurate record keeping.

Required profile

• 3-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven track record of managing books of SAR 100M+ with disciplined risk management.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in Saudi equity markets and Tadawul microstructure.
• Experience on facilitation and principal trading desks.
