Senior Transportation Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Transportation Manager with 12‑15 years of experience to lead traffic engineering projects across the Middle East. The role combines strategic planning, technical design, and stakeholder coordination to deliver safe and efficient transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage traffic engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring on‑time delivery and quality.
• Design, analyse, and optimise traffic control systems, including signals, signage and road network layouts.
• Conduct traffic studies, simulations and data analysis to improve flow, efficiency and safety.
• Develop and implement traffic management strategies and policies aligned with client requirements.
• Collaborate with urban planners, construction teams and government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional and national traffic regulations and standards.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets and deliverables against business objectives.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Stay current on smart mobility, ITS and emerging transportation technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Transportation or related engineering.
• 12‑15 years of traffic engineering or transportation planning experience, preferably in the Middle East.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale infrastructure or transportation projects.
• Strong knowledge of regional traffic regulations and safety standards.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with traffic modelling tools such as Aimsun, VISSIM or Synchro.
• Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and smart mobility solutions.
• Knowledge of sustainable transportation initiatives.
