Service Director – MEA/Africa Region O&M

About the role

The Service Director will lead Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities across the MEA/Africa region, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective management of wind power assets. This senior position reports to regional leadership and is based within the region.

Key responsibilities

• Build, manage and lead an international O&M team, handling recruitment, training, performance evaluation and deployment.
• Organise team training and technical exchange programmes to raise overall competence.
• Ensure O&M operations comply with international safety standards and implement a robust safety management system.
• Develop and enforce quality‑control measures to guarantee reliable O&M performance.
• Prepare, monitor and control the O&M budget, optimise expenses and drive cost reductions.
• Analyse cost data to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and service providers to secure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with local authorities and grid companies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collect and analyse O&M data, evaluate wind‑farm performance and produce regular reports with improvement recommendations.
• Use data‑driven insights to refine O&M strategies and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of O&M management experience in wind‑power projects, preferably with international exposure.
• Familiarity with global O&M standards and best practices in the wind industry.
• Fluent English; additional international language skills are a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and multicultural team‑management abilities.
• High adaptability and resilience to manage challenges in international projects.
