Shipment Control Officer

About the role

The Shipment Control Officer (SCO) ensures that DHL’s shipments, assets and personnel are protected through robust security policies and compliance with aviation regulations. This role is pivotal in investigating incidents, maintaining security databases, and supporting internal audits.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor security policies, procedures and GACA compliance.
• Investigate shipment losses, thefts, and other security incidents, preparing cost‑effective reports.
• Maintain and report on the Security Incidents Database, highlighting trends and corrective actions.
• Support internal TAPA audits, identify gaps, and coordinate corrective measures.
• Ensure security equipment (e.g., X‑ray machines, CCTV) is operational and liaise with vendors for maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in security, logistics or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory requirements.
