Site Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

A leading provider of airport logistics solutions is looking for a Site Engineer - Mechanical to join its Project Execution team, with positions available in Jeddah and Riyadh, KSA. The role leads and coordinates mechanical installation, commissioning and maintenance across regional projects and reports to the Site Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical installation, commissioning and maintenance, and liaise with construction and procurement to identify tools and consumables needed on site.
• Guide subcontractors and internal teams on installation best practices and support method statements, risk assessments and work permits.
• Coordinate with other contractors to secure site access for automation system installation and commissioning.
• Review mechanical drawings and technical documentation, prepare work packages and support the proposals department with project input and lessons learned.
• Monitor installation progress and report regularly to the Site Manager and Planning teams.
• Support quality inspections, closure of snag items and final handover to the client.
• Identify technical risks and work with Engineering teams on preventive actions, and ensure all works follow approved drawings, specifications and methods.
• Follow occupational health, safety, security, environment and quality practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and installation in industrial automation, specifically baggage handling or material handling systems.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Good understanding of engineering analysis tools such as ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar.
• Willingness to work on projects outside KSA; fluent English, Arabic or another language is an advantage.
