Smart Home Technician – On‑site (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Smart Home Technician to join our on‑site team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role involves installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining a wide range of smart home devices for residential and commercial projects. Candidates with hands‑on experience rather than a purely academic background are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission smart home systems and devices.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, upgrades and troubleshooting of installed systems.
• Integrate and support technologies such as smart lighting, switches, security, locks, audio/video, HVAC and home automation platforms.
• Conduct site inspections and technical assessments prior to installation.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently while adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users when required.
• Coordinate with project teams and supervisors during execution.
• Maintain accurate service reports and installation documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Telecommunications or a related technical field (university degree not mandatory).
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with smart home system installation, maintenance or technical support.
• Previous work experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site and travel within KSA as needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of smart home devices and automation systems (lighting, switches, security, locks, audio/video, HVAC).
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of low‑current systems and structured cabling.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and device connectivity.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and system integration issues.
• Proficiency with installation and maintenance tools.
