Stock Controller Team Leader

About the role

The Stock Controller Team Leader oversees inventory management across the organization, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient warehouse operations. This position leads a dedicated team of stock controllers, implements best‑practice processes, and collaborates with multiple departments to support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of stock controllers to maintain high performance and compliance.
• Develop and implement stock control procedures that improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inventory audits, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Utilize inventory management systems to monitor stock, generate analytical reports, and track key performance indicators.
• Coordinate stock movements—including receiving, storage, and distribution—while ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and sales teams to guarantee product availability and support sales initiatives.
• Identify trends, recommend optimization strategies, and maintain relationships with suppliers for timely replenishment.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements related to stock management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in stock control or inventory management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management software and systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
