Superintendent – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

We are seeking a Superintendent to lead the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) team at our Jubail plant. The role is responsible for driving reliability, safety and performance of critical plant assets while supporting long‑term strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture within the reliability team, ensuring compliance with HSE policies.
• Manage integrity, reliability and performance of E&I assets through monitoring, maintenance and reliability programs.
• Conduct root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Develop and apply condition monitoring and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize asset availability.
• Review and enhance E&I reliability procedures, standards and practices.
• Establish risk‑based and criticality‑based maintenance strategies.
• Provide technical expertise for maintenance, troubleshooting and reliability studies.
• Support the Reliability Manager and engineers in achieving reliability and performance targets.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
• Lead workforce development, including competency assessments, training plans and performance appraisals.
• Prepare and control annual operating budgets, fixed costs and CAPEX for the E&I reliability section.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated operational performance.
• Support major turnarounds, shutdowns and outages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation reliability within an industrial setting.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and capital project planning.
