Supply Chain Lead – Procurement & Inventory Management

About the role

The Supply Chain Lead will oversee end‑to‑end procurement and inventory management, ensuring effective sourcing of goods, services, contracts, spare parts and consumables while supporting the transition to a centralized procurement model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and inventory strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead ERP implementation to centralize procurement processes and enforce P2P and inventory policies.
• Manage sourcing activities, including supplier pre‑qualification, tendering, negotiation, contracting and performance evaluation.
• Establish and monitor supplier performance frameworks and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, improve replenishment planning and mitigate supply risks.
• Oversee purchase requisitions, orders, approvals and ensure compliance with governance standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to support operational continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 8–10 years of procurement and/or supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in transportation, logistics or other asset‑heavy industries is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CIPS or CPSM is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of MRP and inventory management software.
• Strong contract and vendor management expertise.
