Terminal Operations Duty

About the role

This Terminal Operations Duty position supports the efficient and effective operation of terminal services, ensuring high standards of customer service, safety and operational performance. It covers operational support, compliance and safety, customer service, coordination, performance monitoring, resource management, training and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily terminal operations, including check-in, baggage handling and passenger assistance, and monitor passenger flow to prevent congestion
• Report operational issues to the Terminal Services Supervisor and support process improvements
• Follow safety and security protocols, comply with airline and airport regulations, and take part in emergency drills
• Help manage terminal disruptions by coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders
• Assist passengers with special needs, resolve complaints and provide accurate, timely information on flights and airport services
• Keep the terminal clean, safe and welcoming, and maintain a professional image
• Coordinate with other terminal teams, airlines and ground handling agents, and submit flight data accurately to auditors and statisticians
• Monitor performance metrics such as wait times, service quality and customer satisfaction, and help prepare performance reports
• Manage terminal resources, equipment and supplies, and carry out regular inspections and maintenance
• Take part in training programs, support the onboarding of new team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in airport operations or a similar field
• Preferred: certification in airport operations or a related field (e.g. ACI Airport Operations Diploma, IATA certifications)
• Arabic and English
