Trainee – Continuous Improvement Process

About the role

The Trainee – Improvement Process will spend six months rotating across different functions to gain a deep understanding of Hitachi Energy’s operations. You will support the Continuous Improvement team, applying Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies while developing analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen projects, assisting in data collection, documentation and KPI tracking.
• Conduct process mapping, value‑stream mapping and waste identification to drive productivity, quality and cost improvements.
• Analyze operational data, develop dashboards and provide trend insights for performance reviews.
• Participate in structured problem‑solving activities (PDCA, DMAIC, 5‑Why, Fishbone, Pareto, A3) and help implement corrective actions.
• Support Lean awareness programs, Kaizen events, Gemba walks and maintain project records and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a related field.
• Fresh graduate with basic knowledge of continuous improvement, data analysis and documentation.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Strong technical comprehension, safety‑first mindset and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
