Transportation Specialist

About the role

The Transportation Specialist will work on‑site in Jeddah, coordinating daily transportation activities to ensure cargo moves timely and complies with all regulations. This full‑time position supports Fastgate Logistics’ commitment to reliable, high‑quality logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule transportation routes and monitor shipment status.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, carriers, and government authorities.
• Prepare and review transportation documentation and support customs processes.
• Resolve issues that may affect delivery timelines or service quality.
• Analyze transportation performance, identify trends and propose process improvements.
• Contribute to the development of cost‑effective logistics solutions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess transportation data.
• Effective communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Hands‑on experience in transportation planning and management, including route optimization.
• Knowledge of logistics, customs procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with transportation or logistics management systems and basic office software.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
• Relevant education in logistics, supply chain management, business or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or supply‑chain roles within the region is an advantage.
