Virtualisation Operations Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Virtualisation Operations Engineer to support the day‑to‑day operation and administration of the organization’s virtualization environment. The role will focus on VM provisioning, resource allocation, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support across VMware infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day administration of VMware ESXi, vCenter, clusters, and virtual machines.
• Provision, configure, modify, migrate, and decommission virtual machines.
• Manage CPU, memory, storage, and network resource allocation.
• Monitor virtualization infrastructure performance, capacity, and system health.
• Provide L2 support for virtualization‑related incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot VM performance, connectivity, configuration, and resource issues.
• Support VMware patching, upgrades, maintenance, and migration activities.
• Execute approved changes in accordance with ITSM and change‑management procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in virtualization, systems administration, or infrastructure operations.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Basic understanding of server, storage, networking, and backup technologies.
• Experience working within ITSM/ITIL environments.
