Warehouse Dispatcher

About the role

The Warehouse Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing all internal warehouse activities, ensuring accurate stock handling, and allocating tasks to labour teams to achieve optimal productivity. The role works closely with store personnel and forklift operators to maintain smooth order preparation and invoicing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Take over the shift from the previous team, reviewing pending work and outstanding tasks.
• Manage loading and off‑loading operations using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and report to storekeepers.
• Adjust delivery sequences in the Dispatch Planning System and allocate jobs to helpers.
• Monitor stock during loading, reporting irregularities such as wrong stickers, missing or excess cases, and empty pallets.
• Conduct daily physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with the store manager.
• Ensure hygiene standards are met according to checklist procedures.
• Coordinate with forklift operators to rearrange storage and support FIFO processes.
• Hand over the shift with clear instructions for the next team.
• Maintain warehouse equipment, record periodic maintenance, and support EHS & QFS compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a supply‑chain or logistics role, preferably in FMCG.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage labour teams across multiple functions.
• Flexible thinking and systematic approach to issue resolution.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Experience using a Dispatch Planning System.
• PIT (forklift) license – advantageous.
• Forklift operation and basic equipment maintenance.
