Water Sports Instructor – Red Sea Destination

About the role

The Instructor – Water Sports delivers safe, engaging and high‑quality watersports experiences across the Red Sea destination. Working under the Senior Instructor, the role supports WAMA’s daily watersports programme, promotes marine‑environment stewardship and ensures compliance with RSSE safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver guided watersports activities, conduct safety briefings and supervise guests throughout each session.
• Assess guest ability, weather, sea state and operational risks before and during activities, adapting plans as needed.
• Inspect, prepare, maintain and store all watersports equipment, logging inspections and reporting defects.
• Follow SOPs, risk assessments, emergency response plans and provide first‑aid when required.
• Collaborate with senior instructors, supervisors and the wider operations team to ensure smooth daily logistics and guest flow.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; diploma in Sports, Physical Education, Tourism or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years experience delivering watersports in hospitality, resorts or adventure recreation.
• Valid First Aid, CPR and AED certification from an internationally recognised provider.
• National Governing Body or internationally recognised instructor certification in at least one watersports discipline; lifeguard qualification desirable.
• Previous experience in luxury resorts or remote destinations is a plus.

Required skills

• Practical delivery of non‑motorised and/or motorised watersports activities.
• Strong knowledge of marine safety, weather assessment and risk management.
• Effective communication and guest instruction abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions during emergencies.
• Physical fitness for outdoor marine environments and fluency in English (Arabic advantageous).
