Wholesale Accounting Specialist Professional

About the role

The Wholesale Accounting Specialist Professional will manage the financial accounting of voice and data product revenue streams, ensuring accurate identification, analysis, summarisation and reporting. The role supports the development of internal controls and contributes to the optimisation of financial performance within a telecom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle financial accounting for multiple segments, ensuring proper revenue identification and reporting for voice and data services.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate unreported revenue risk and coordinate timely, accurate accounting processes.
• Monitor periodic reconciliations of accounts receivable and revenue, and ensure accurate monthly closing activities.
• Review revenue accounting entries, monitor accruals, and enhance revenue accounting control systems.
• Apply accounting standards (SOCPA & IFRS) to optimise financial performance.
• Support policy updates related to credit and collection to improve business performance.
• Reconcile billing reports (BRM, IN, NTG, NGSDP) with ERP to verify revenue accuracy.
• Maintain accurate accounting for distributor sales, commissions, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Review commission calculations and pricing memo allocations for correct accounting treatment.
• Validate manual billing adjustments against customer documents and CITC regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Administration, Economics or a related field from an accredited university.
• Strong understanding of revenue accounting, financial controls, and telecom billing processes.
• Experience applying SOCPA and IFRS standards.
