Workplace Health and Safety Officer

About the role

The Site WHS Officer partners with the operations team at an Amazon delivery station to implement safety policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement of health and safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with Amazon WHS standards and local regulations.
• Measure site safety performance, identify deficiencies, and develop corrective action plans.
• Analyze safety metrics, review incident trends, and allocate resources to high‑risk areas.
• Conduct frequent safety audits, investigate incidents, and close corrective and preventive actions.
• Audit record‑keeping and workplace organization to align with global WHS standards.
• Lead and mentor Safety Associates, especially during peak periods.
• Collaborate with Operations Leaders to embed safety standards into daily processes.

Required profile

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Experience in workplace health and safety, with solid knowledge of local/regional regulations.
• Strong communication skills, able to deliver clear, concise messages.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and spend time on the delivery station floor.
