Access Fixed Specialist Professional

About the role

The Access Fixed Specialist Professional will oversee the operation and maintenance of microwave, Wi‑Fi and VSAT networks, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. This role works closely with vendors and internal teams to meet service level agreements and support traffic growth during peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of microwave, Wi‑Fi and VSAT infrastructure.
• Control outsourcing contracts, monitoring SLAs/KPIs to guarantee quality service.
• Lead fault‑management activities, including testing, diagnosis and repair to achieve rapid response times.
• Plan and execute routine maintenance to meet availability targets.
• Participate in engineering design, recommend best‑practice techniques, and schedule vendor work.
• Analyze capacity trends and produce recommendation reports.
• Guide operations teams during high‑traffic seasons to prevent service disruptions.
• Ensure all O&M projects comply with quality standards.
• Lead testing of new features and generate evaluation reports.
• Validate acceptance of new network elements and assess operational criteria.
• Review parameter change requests to avoid negative network impact.
• Maintain relationships with MNS for operational and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or an equivalent field from an accredited university.
