Anesthesiologist

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Anesthesiologist to join a leading hospital in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care across a range of surgical procedures and support peri-operative and pain-management pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-operatively and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional and local anesthesia as indicated.
• Monitor vital signs and physiological status throughout surgery.
• Manage airway, respiratory complications and perform intubation and arterial line placement.
• Provide peri-operative care and post-operative pain management, contributing to enhanced recovery protocols.
• Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies and participate in on-call duties.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, intensivists and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and participate in clinical audits and quality-improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Post-graduate qualification in Anesthesiology.
• Relevant clinical experience in anesthesiology, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
