Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead sales growth across Saudi Arabia and the GCC for an Asia‑based chemical solutions provider serving the plastics packaging sector. You will develop new business, strengthen key accounts, and promote specialty PET products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and profit targets in Saudi Arabia and selected GCC markets.
• Identify and acquire new customers in PET packaging, preform manufacturing, bottled water, and food‑beverage packaging.
• Promote specialty products such as liquid colourants, PET additives (acetaldehyde scavenger, UV blocker, oxygen scavenger, anti‑yellow for rPET), full light barriers and dosing systems.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with decision‑makers, purchasing teams and plant management through regular visits and technical‑commercial support.
• Generate leads via market research, networking and industry events; conduct product presentations and manage trials, quotations and negotiations.
• Handle pricing, commercial negotiations, payment terms and supply coordination in line with company policies.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and provide sales forecasts and pipeline updates to management.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated sales professional with strong industry connections in the plastics and PET sectors.
• Proven ability to generate new business while managing key accounts.
• Technical‑commercial understanding of PET packaging and related chemical additives.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PET packaging and related plastics industries.
• Experience with PET additives such as acetaldehyde scavenger, UV blocker, oxygen scavenger, anti‑yellow for rPET.
• Ability to deliver technical‑commercial presentations and manage product trials.
