Assessment Specialist – PhD Biomedical Sciences Program

About the role

The Assessment Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the assessment strategy for the PhD Biomedical Sciences program. Working closely with the Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, the role ensures that assessment practices meet academic standards and accreditation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage the program’s assessment framework in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Provide secretariat support for Assessment Committee meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and follow‑up on action items.
• Coordinate with course instructors, thesis supervisors, and examination boards at KFSHRC and Alfaisal University.
• Maintain and update assessment policies, examination regulations, and academic standards documentation.
• Track, compile, and securely store student grades, qualifying exam results, and research milestones.
• Collect, analyse, and report assessment data to inform quality reviews and program improvements.
• Prepare accreditation documentation for national and international bodies (e.g., NCAAA).
• Train faculty on assessment design, rubric development, and fair grading practices.
• Map curriculum to ensure alignment of learning outcomes, teaching methods, and assessment tasks.
• Develop assessment blueprints and conduct psychometric analysis of exam results.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Training & Education, Health Administration, Medical Education, Health Education, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience in academic assessment or program evaluation.
