Assistant Learning & Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Learning & Development Manager to support the training strategy of our 5‑star Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah hotel. Reporting to the L&D Manager, you will help design, deliver and monitor learning programmes that align with the hotel’s goals and enhance guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and implementing the annual hotel training plan and associated budget.
• Conduct training needs analysis in collaboration with department heads and identify learning opportunities.
• Coordinate, deliver and follow‑up on all training sessions, maintaining a training calendar.
• Develop and maintain a central library of learning resources (videos, books, magazines) for staff use.
• Support the onboarding and orientation process for new hires.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities and participant data.
• Build relationships with industry associations, external training providers and academic institutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in training or learning & development, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.
