Assistant Property General Manager

About the role

The Assistant Property General Manager supports the financial and operational management of a residential community. Reporting to the Community Manager, this role handles daily rent collection, banking, financial reporting, and ensures residents comply with lease terms while delivering a high-quality resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits.
• Enter approved bills into the property accounting system and scan invoices for accounting.
• Generate financial reports using the property management system and reconcile transactions with the accounting department.
• Communicate with residents to address concerns, respond to inquiries, and promote satisfaction and retention.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, enforce lease terms, and manage delinquency collection.
• Follow eviction procedures, provide proper notice, and represent the property in court hearings when required.
• Process move-outs, apply deposit and cancellation fees, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Assist with leasing and marketing activities, including greeting prospects, showing units, and supporting lease completion.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to resident relations.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately enter financial data and manage documentation.
• Comfortable working in a fluid environment and collaborating with co‑workers and residents.
• Knowledge of lease agreements, eviction processes, and property‑related financial procedures.
• Willingness to support leasing and marketing efforts to meet occupancy goals.
