Associate Construction Director - MEP

About the role

Mace is leading a new portfolio of event‑venue projects in Saudi Arabia. The Associate Construction Director – MEP will act as deputy to the Delivery Director, taking hands‑on responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems while ensuring seamless integration with the overall building programme.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Delivery Director in overall construction delivery and act as the primary MEP authority.
• Lead MEP works from design development through procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain a strong on‑site presence to monitor progress, resolve technical issues and coordinate across all trades.
• Ensure compliance with programme milestones, quality standards and safety requirements for building services.
• Review constructability and prefabrication strategies for MEP and other trades to improve efficiency.
• Participate in pre‑contract activities such as tendering, bid evaluation and technical scope reviews.
• Drive risk management, change control and mitigation of delays or defects.
• Champion innovation in building services engineering while supporting overall construction delivery.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relationships as a trusted technical authority.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale venues (arenas, stadiums, exhibition centres) with complex MEP systems.
• Advanced technical knowledge of building services engineering, including installation, testing and prefabrication.
• Strong leadership and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced construction environment.
