Business Control Specialist

About the role

The Business Control Specialist acts as a finance partner, linking the finance department with operational units to ensure accurate reporting, strategic oversight, and effective decision‑making. This full‑time position supports budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning while maintaining compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Operations team on annual capital and operating budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closings with the regional finance team, ensuring valid transaction recording.
• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial reports, including variance analysis and outlook updates.
• Conduct simulations, forecasts, and studies on consolidated results to meet managerial information needs.
• Develop and improve reporting tools, documents, and forms in partnership with managers.
• Monitor cost control, identify savings opportunities, and manage contract and rental agreement financial implications.
• Provide financial education and support to non‑finance teams and handle ad‑hoc requests from senior management.
