Business Development Manager – Al Khobar

About the role

Wood is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities across oil & gas, petrochemicals, mining and infrastructure sectors, aligning with Wood’s regional strategic plans.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify high‑potential projects and framework agreements, including renewals such as GES.
• Develop and nurture relationships with strategic clients (e.g., SABIC, AGOC, KJO, Aramco JVs) and government ministries.
• Lead the early‑stage “Identify and Position” phases of Wood’s Growth & Development Framework.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and external partners to craft compelling win strategies and value propositions.
• Maintain competitive intelligence on rivals, pricing models and local partnerships.
• Support proposal and commercial teams during tender negotiations, pricing and technical alignment.
• Manage strategic accounts to ensure long‑term client satisfaction and retention.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or commercial roles within oil & gas, petrochemical, mining or infrastructure markets.
• Strong network with key industry players and government stakeholders in Saudi Arabia.
• Demonstrated ability to secure large‑scale framework agreements and achieve revenue growth targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client‑focused mindset.
