Managing Director – FMCG

About the role

This senior leadership position is responsible for driving the next phase of commercial growth for a well‑established FMCG group. The role requires relocation to Saudi Arabia and offers full ownership of business performance, strategy, and market expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall strategy, direction and performance of the business.
• Own revenue, profitability, budgets and P&L delivery.
• Develop and execute an ambitious commercial growth plan across new markets, channels, customers and product categories.
• Strengthen relationships with key accounts, distributors and strategic partners.
• Optimise route‑to‑market models for modern trade, traditional trade, wholesale, foodservice and e‑commerce.
• Lead commercial negotiations and major customer agreements.
• Improve sales forecasting, pricing, promotional effectiveness and margin performance.
• Align sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and operations behind common commercial objectives.
• Build, motivate and develop a high‑performing senior leadership team.
• Monitor market trends, consumer behaviour and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience within the FMCG sector.
• Proven track record as Managing Director, General Manager, Commercial Director or Sales Director.
• Strong commercial instincts with demonstrable revenue and market‑share growth.
• Extensive experience managing distributors, key accounts and complex routes to market.
• Previous ownership of budgets, profitability and full business performance.
• Engaging, visible leadership style with ability to influence at shareholder and board level.
• Entrepreneurial, decisive and comfortable in a fast‑moving, growth‑focused environment.
• Regional experience in the Middle East is highly advantageous.
