Cargo Operations Manager – Riyadh

About the role

The Cargo Operations Manager will oversee all cargo activities at the Riyadh station, ensuring smooth inbound and outbound flows while maintaining compliance with local authorities, IATA regulations, and airline standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and negotiate with ground handling agents (GHAs) and local service providers to optimise cargo handling.
• Develop, implement and monitor SOPs with GHAs to guarantee high‑quality operations.
• Manage KPIs and Service Level Agreements, ensuring performance meets airline requirements.
• Control operational costs, reduce claims and penalties, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure safety, security and regulatory compliance, liaising with customs and government authorities.
• Maintain aircraft on‑time performance by preventing ground‑handling delays.
• Support RFP processes, contracts and procurement for existing or new operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cargo or airport operations management.
• Strong knowledge of IATA cargo regulations and local aviation rules.
• Ability to manage KPIs, SLAs and cost‑control initiatives.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills with GHAs and authorities.
• Leadership capability to work with station and regional heads.
