Commis Chef – Luxury Resort Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea as a Commis Chef, supporting the delivery of 5‑star dining experiences in a nature‑focused luxury resort. You will work alongside experienced chefs to ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily mise en place and ingredients according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and visual appeal of all dishes.
• Follow portion control, stock management, and recipe guidelines.
• Assist during service, adapting preparations to guest preferences when required.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe food‑handling practices.
• Stay updated on new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
• Participate in kitchen briefings and report any issues to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a basic culinary position.
• Certificate in Culinary arts preferred.
• Understanding of ultra‑luxury guest expectations and brand standards.
• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with luxury standards.
