Construction Director – PMO

About the role

Parsons is seeking a senior Construction Director to lead program‑wide construction integration within its PMO. The role operates at a Project Director level, providing strategic oversight across multiple zones and work packages, and acting as the primary interface between PMO, contractors, consultants and client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction integration across all program zones, ensuring alignment with program objectives, standards and safety requirements.
• Develop and enforce construction governance frameworks, execution strategies and performance control systems.
• Provide executive oversight of contractor performance, progress reporting and recovery plans.
• Identify, escalate and mitigate construction‑related risks, especially at interface points.
• Coordinate multi‑party collaboration among PMCMs, designers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve delivery issues.
• Validate construction reporting, dashboards, KPIs and executive updates for client decision‑making.
• Ensure consistent delivery approaches, logistics strategies, sequencing and phasing across packages.
• Champion QA/QC, HSE and compliance assurance at the program level.
• Act as senior escalation point for non‑performance and systemic delivery failures.
• Support procurement and tender evaluation from a constructability and risk perspective.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of experience delivering complex buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record with large public venues or theater‑type projects.
• Extensive experience influencing delivery outcomes without direct contractual authority.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
