Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the supervision of a major site consultancy project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of building and hospitality developments, working closely with the Resident Engineer, Project Director and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all construction supervision activities during project execution.
• Monitor daily construction operations to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site supervision personnel across multiple disciplines.
• Ensure construction activities align with project schedules and approved work programs.
• Review construction methodologies, work sequences, and resource deployment plans.
• Monitor contractor performance and recommend corrective actions for productivity or quality issues.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, planning, commercial, and quality teams to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements, and international standards.
• Identify potential delays, risks, and construction constraints and propose mitigation measures.
• Lead coordination and progress review meetings with project stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Implement approved QA/QC procedures and monitor HSE performance.
• Review contractor method statements, temporary works proposals, and execution plans.
• Verify construction progress for payment certification and reporting.
• Coordinate inspection activities and ensure timely closure of observations and non‑conformances.
• Support commercial teams in evaluating construction impacts, variations, and claims.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, de‑snagging, and handover activities.
• Maintain all construction records and reports in accordance with project requirements.
• Mentor site engineers, inspectors, and supervision staff to promote high‑performance delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
• Extensive experience in construction supervision and site management, preferably on large‑scale building or hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of local construction regulations and international standards.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with various project stakeholders.
