Contract Administrator

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Contract Administrator to manage contract administration functions across its projects. The role involves providing contractual and legal guidance to project teams, protecting company and client interests, and ensuring compliance with policies and legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage contractual correspondence with consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Initiate, chair and attend meetings to resolve disputes and discuss contractual issues.
• Plan contract activities, including post‑award schedules and evaluations.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts to ensure legal compliance and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, change orders and correspondence.
• Monitor adherence to contract terms, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Advise project managers on contract strategy, modifications, claims avoidance and conflict management.
• Coordinate change requests, act as liaison among contractors, clients and stakeholders, and identify contract‑related risks.
• Track project budgets and expenditures for financial compliance.
• Prepare regular status reports and support senior‑management presentations.
• Review and endorse vendor invoices and supervise junior contract administrators where required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Law, Engineering).
• Strong understanding of contract law and commercial practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
