About the role
The Control Room Operator monitors and controls plant operations using SCADA and PLC systems. Working from the control room, you ensure safe, efficient production by tracking process parameters and responding to alarms.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor plant processes via SCADA/PLC interfaces.
- Read operating parameters and detect abnormal conditions.
- Coordinate with field operators to start, stop, and adjust equipment.
- Respond promptly to alarms, deviations, and emergencies following procedures.
- Maintain accurate production and operational logs.
- Report equipment abnormalities, process issues, and safety concerns to the relevant teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Required profile
- Basic understanding of SCADA and PLC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret operating parameters.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow operating and safety procedures.
- Experience in a feed mill or industrial plant is an advantage.
