About the role
The Cybersecurity Consultant is a hands‑on professional who conducts vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and security reviews across customer environments. The role works closely with infrastructure teams, application owners and security stakeholders to identify weaknesses, validate risks and deliver practical remediation guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests across network, infrastructure, server, application and cloud environments.
- Perform internal and external network penetration testing within approved scopes and rules of engagement.
- Execute web application and API security assessments using industry‑standard methodologies.
- Validate findings, eliminate false positives and provide detailed remediation recommendations and reports.
Required profile
- 5‑7 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, vulnerability assessment or penetration testing.
- Hands‑on experience with internal and external network testing, web application and API security assessments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs and firewalls.
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux and Active Directory environments.
Required skills
- Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nmap, Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, Metasploit, Wireshark, Kali Linux.
- Python, PowerShell, Bash scripting.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10, OWASP API Security Top 10, CVSS, CWE, MITRE ATT&CK.
- Experience with WAF, IDS/IPS, NAC, EDR, SIEM solutions.
